Fun Island Show Tiger Spirit in Playoffs

by Gerald Chung

Whether it was the renewed confidence of Joshua Blowjowski, a 5 goal performance from Braydinho in the final game, or even the emergence of a young man named Sticky Mitts, the future is bright here on Fun Island.

Despite a tumultuous stretch of games which saw Fun Island lose 6 on the bounce, confidence and courage never faded as the Tigers scratched and clawed their way to the very end, finishing 8-7 in this edition of the playoffs.

After some tactical adjustments which saw Nikolai Bellini thrive in his new midfield role, the Tigers played with a certain kind of flair and conviction, a kind that has been missing for quite some time. Other key moments included a 12 round penalty shootout victory which saw Balls coolly and calmly slotting away his two opportunities to take down P Diddy and his pals, as well as Braydinho's dazzling goal scoring ability on full display, netting 5 times in the final game which included 2 free kicks finding the back of the net.

The Tigers of Fun Island will look to build off their recent success and will be back in action next weekend.
